1.Project Plan
(1.1)The Define Phase
(1.11)Introduction:
§     Write a statement describing the overall purpose of the project.
§     What is the key challenge or problem the project is aiming to address?
§     What are students intended to learn from the project?
 To make the children learn and understand the concept of area and perimeter of plane figures specially rectangle and square by doing measurements.

 (1.12)Project Scope:
Describe the scope of your project. This may include class and section, subjects it covers, self shills to be used etc. as well as other factors affecting scope.
 In this project each child will be included and the topic is useful in their day today life

List the curriculum and standards this project with cover.

Class VI- Maths
Area and perimeter of plane figures.
2.1 Essential Question:
Put in writing the question that will engage the students?
   How will you measure your school campus and your house and surroundings?

2.2 Grouping Strategy:
Describe the criteria that will be used to form students’ team and how this maps to the goals of the project.

The class is divided into six groups.

2.3 Learning Environment:
Describe the learning environment for the project including any classroom adaptation that will be required.


The teacher gives the general instructions in the class.This is followed by group discussion on how they can measure the school campus.The group leader presents the ideas of the group in front of the entire class. Measurements were taken by measuring with the tape and by their foot.Later calculations were done.

 2.41 Authentic Assessment:

Authentic do- able tasks that will be carried out by the team will include-
1 Measuring the small items like books,display board,black board,table top etc.
2. Old measuring systems and conversion of old system into new by proper calculations.
3. Group discussions were conducted.
4.Can prepare a project file or power point presentation

Assessment can be done by group work or individual

2.43 Summative Assessment:
